I have a vintage Panasonic bicycle. I want to switch my handlebars from aftermarket back to original curved?
The gears are attached to the handlebar pole and so are the brakes (obviously). Does anyone know how they are removed properly?
I can take pictures of each if this helps. I cannot seem to find much information on these bicycles, Panasonic Villager from the early to mid 80's.
The gear shifters should have a simple bolt/screw arrangement, should be obvious.
The brakes probably have a hidden screw - you have to squeeze the brake slightly, look inside and you see a slot for a regular screwdriver. Lefty loosey.
Unhook the cables from the far end - at the derailluers and the brakes. There's a little pinch bolt that holds the cables.
