70s Tasco or 70s Bushnell Sportview?
Alright i just bought a new rifle and right now i dont have the money to outfit it with a high dollar scope like a leupold so my father suggested i borrow one of his scopes. He has 2 that have about equal clarity. he said both of them had held zero on each of his 30-06s for more than 30 years. He just replaced them last month. So in your all's opinion which would I be better off with?
My deer rifle is a .270
it depends a little on which model Tasco it is. The sportview wasn't the top end Bushnell but it wasn't bad. The same could be said of most full size Tascos of that era.
I'd suggest taking them out in the evening and looking into the shadows below trees or shrubs in your yard and pick whichever seems to show you more detail in the dim light.
