Fire Starter Kit
What is a high quality, affordable paintball marker for me to buy?

I am looking to buy a piantball marker, and I want one that is highly accurate, has a good fire rate, and is easy to customize. I also want it to serve me well in both long and close ranges, and in a variety of courses, like woodsball and speedball. Please help; i have looked at both the JT TAC 5M Recon starter kit, and also a JT Stealth Scenario Players kit. Each seems to have the characteristics i want, although the stealth seems more speedball/rushing in woodsball while the tac 5m seems to be more sniping related, which is something i would like, as i like sniping, but i am worried that if i got the tac 5m it would put me at a disadvantage in close range situations. please advise.

I say a BT4, Tippmann 98 or Tippmann a5. They can all take flatline barrels, which are excellent if you use them right, giving both range and accuracy. The main complaint against these guns is their weight, which is on the heavy side as far as paintball guns go. They all run on co2 or hpa, are highly upgradable, and can get upgraded grips for auto and ramping modes.(oh, and they're probably the most reliable robust guns on the market)

I hate to say it, but the tac5 and stealth have not been good guns through my experience. both are poor performers,as well as awkward/large/flimsy.

Another point on the barrel issue. It is true that guns all go the same speed, BUT the flatline puts a backspin on the ball down the whole length of the barrel, resulting in a flat trajectory. An IMMENSE advantage over the apex as you can fire it crouched or prone, where the apex will fire the ball into the ground before it can rise back up.

Its plain to see when you have your flatline next to an apex player, shooting out of a woodline for instance. You'll get your man first burst while the apex is eating dirt, branches and more dirt as they try to get their angle right for the ball to exit the brush.

I have used or owned all the gear Ive recommended and can stand behind it.
Let me know if you try the flatline and ill give you some tips for it:)
